Save the dates for the 5th Annual Lahydi Dance Conference in Oakland, CA hosted by Alseny Soumah, from Wednesday May 6th to Sunday May 10th, 2009. Please note NEW LOCATION at Oakland Tech High School, 4351 Broadway. There will be lots of amazing dance and drum teachers, including Youssouf Koumbassa, Mamady Sano, Yalani Bangoura, Marie Basse-Wiles, Mabiba Baegne, Fadima Soumah, Naby Bangoura, Regina Califa, Alseny Soumah, M'Mah Toure, Ndeye Gueye, Djeneba Sakho, Mareme Faye, Mangue Sylla, Kolipe Camara, Mohammed Kouyate, Karamba Dioubate, Mohammed Diaby, Samba Guisse, Mybaye Louvouezo, Mbor Faye and Mito Camara.

Advance prices $13.00 each class for 10 or more classes, $14.00 for 1-10 classes, $15.00 at the door. You get a really good deal paying in advance! Sorry, no refunds. Dundunba Party $15.00 Saturday night. Free children's dance class with Alseny Soumah, Sat 11:40 a.m. Real African Market!!!
