2011 Camp Fareta Guest Artists

Some of the world’s finest teachers of West African dance and drum will be joining us. The following guest artists are expected to attend thus far – more to be added soon. This year's special guest artist will be Mamady Keita!

Also for the balafon players out there, Lansana Kouyate will teach group balafon classes for a $25 fee (maybe less) per person, as long as we get at least 6 bala players. Let us know if you're interested. He'll definitely be at camp -- we're not sure what days yet -- and he'll be available for private lessons as well. He'll be playing for classes and he's an amazing presence around the fire at night!
